Writeblr Reintro :)

-> hi, welcome to my writeblr! on this corner of the internet, i go by flower, but i’m open to any nicknames as well. i’m a biracial, queer teen writer who has spd and some other mental illnesses too. now onto the actual writing stuff…

-> i tend to write science fiction and dystopian, with a dash of low fantasy and horror. i write both prose and poetry, though i mostly talk about the prose part here. also, most of my work is ya/teen.

-> that being said, i’m open to reading anything! i do have a special love for sci-fi (especially post-apocalyptic or set in space) and supernatural/horror, so if your wip features that, hit me up! i’d love to learn about them. even if your wips aren’t those genres, feel free to come into my ask box anytime! i need social interaction, even though i may take a little while to answer it :)

-> my wips usually have a queer/neurodivergent cast, mixed-race characters (hey, if no one else will, gotta do it yourself right?), found family and blorbos who really, really need to sleep. sometimes there are even cats.

yes you have autistic in your bio but are you rude to people who need carers and assistance with basic tasks? do you call me lazy for a text post where i ask my father to bring me water? yes you have adhd and post constantly about executive dysfunction but if a schizophrenic person who needs but doesn’t have have a carer hasn’t showered or worn clean clothes in months exists, how are you going to react to that?

yeah yeah you’re all for disability rights but if someone is campaigning for adult changing tables in disabled stall bathrooms because they have incontinence and have to wear a diaper are you going to think they’re weird? if a person has a visible colostomy bag are you going to think it’s gross? what about feeding tubes? how does your opinion on these issues change if the person in question is fat, or homeless, or a person of color?

i see quite a few people have followed me overnight and i am assuming this is because of twitter! please note these few things if you are new to tumblr and haven't used it before :)

  • change your pfp and banner straight away so people don't think you are a bot. I block a default icon on sight
  • do not censor tags, you can say whatever you like on tumblr. censoring hinders people who have those words blocked or stops people searching things - e.g I have frog/s blocked because I have a phobia. if you tag it fr0gs, that ain't gonna help me OR people that do want to see them!
  • you can make your likes and follower list private, we do not care about your following list. this is one of my favourite things about tumblr.
  • REBLOG. liking is basically a bookmark. it does nothing to help the ecosystem of this website - tumblr survives off other people sharing content. and yes, share that content from 2012. just reblog content.
  • use tags to organise your blog if you want but also to add commentary and/or thoughts you have. especially on anything creative you might reblog such as art and writing!
  • do not tag your hate
  • create your own space how you want! block whatever and whoever you need (even though tumblr blocking system sucks) but do whatever you need to keep your experience as comfy as possible!
  • REBLOG !!!!
